Livestock Bats
Tired of collecting bat wings? Then this mod is for you! This is real bat breeding! 🦇
🦇 Bat species
After building the Bat Cave, all bats can be purchased from Marnie:
- **Basic Bat** - Drops bat wings
- **Fruit Bat** - Drops fruit collected or from trees
- **Tuber Bat** - Drops collected tubers (snow yams, winter roots, cave carrots)
- **Mushroom Bat** - Drops a red or purple mushroom (and a magma mushroom if you're lucky!)
- **Meteor Bat** - Drops Iridium Ore and occasionally Diamonds
🏞️ Bat Cave
Contains three seasonal bat caves (for bats only!). Available in regular, large and deluxe versions. The cave feature can be turned off in the configuration so bats can be placed in the coop.
🌍 Translation and Compatibility
**Translation**: Contains i18n files! If you are interested in making a translation, please feel free to contact me and I will add your translation to the mod page.
**Recolors**: Currently only the original colors are included, but I plan to add some recolor versions in the future. Recolor modifications are OK as long as you have permission from the recolor author and both mods are marked as dependencies. Earth tone recolors now included!
**Compatibility**: Should not cause any conflicts with other mods. If you find any issues, please let me know and I'll try to fix them.
✨ New features
Now includes the **Extra Animal Configuration** patch, which adds some new features:
- The quality of bat wings can be adjusted in the configuration to only drop ordinary quality
- Iridium ores and iridium ingots have been adjusted to only drop normal quality
- All animals have a chance to drop additional products after reaching a certain friendship level
🐛 Troubleshooting
When submitting a bug report, be sure to include SMAPI logs. You can also include a patch summary by typing "patch summary ahri1014.LivestockBats" in the SMAPI console.
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
