Install:
- Install the latest version of SMAPI and then install Portraiture.
- After installing SMAPI, the Mod folder should appear in your Stardew folder. Unzip the Portraiture and move it into the Mod folder.
- Inside the Portraiture folder, there should be another folder titled Portraits.
- Now, install the DCBurger mod (here), unzip the file, and move the folder containing the images into the Portraits folder.
The file order should look like this: Stardew/Mods/Portraiture/Portraits/DCBurger (or whatever you have named the folder)
- Download the MOD zip packages, unzip them, and then copy and paste the contents of the folder into the DCBurger folder. Don't move the folder, just copy all images.
- After pasting them into the DCBurger file inside the Portraits folder, the computer should ask you if you want to replace the DCBurger image with mine. Select Yes.
- Start Stardew Valley via SMAPI, wait for the code to load and start the game
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
