It's a little awkward that your boss has a crush on you, so let's fix that. This mod adjusts dialogue that hints at any romantic feelings or discomfort between Harvey and Maru.

No Harvey X Maru - Dialogue Tweaks

🎭 **Make working relationships healthier and more natural**

This is my first mod, albeit a simple one, aimed at creating a more friendly co-worker atmosphere for Harvey and Maru. I really disliked the setting up of Harvey (Maru's boss) having feelings for her and her being uncomfortable with it. After discussing it with friends, everyone felt the same way.

💃 Flower Dance Festival dialogue adjustment

**Before modification:**

• Harvey: "I'm working up the courage to ask someone to dance"
• Harvey (on rejection): "Oh! Sorry... I, uh... planned to invite someone else"

**After modification:**

• Harvey: "Holiday traditions always require a couple of dancers. Maru and I sometimes volunteer if Lewis asks, but to be honest I'm not much of a dancer."
• Harvey: "Oh! Sorry...I, uh...just forget it..."

💡 *Reason for modification: Considering that Harvey and Maru would have danced together if the farmer had not invited her, it is implied that he originally wanted to invite her*

🏖️ Luau dialogue adjustments

**Before modification:**

• Harvey: "Fortunately, I brought sunscreen. I wonder if Maru needs some sunscreen on his shoulders?"
• Maru: "Harvey keeps trying to talk to me, but all I want is to eat this roast"

**After modification:**

• Harvey: "Farmer, please be sure to put on some sunscreen, it's hot today"
• Maru: "Harvey has been wanting to talk about work, but I think we should relax today"

💡 *Reason for modification: Harvey's dialogue is more obvious, Maru's dialogue is about a married woman, I want to maintain a friendly atmosphere rather than an avoidant attitude*

**Maru's Clinic Work Dialogue:**

• **Before Edit:** "I'm happy to work at the clinic...I feel like I'm helping the people of this town. Dr. Harvey? He's nice, but not my type..."
• **Revised:** "I'm so happy to be working at the clinic...it's so nice of Harvey to offer me this job"

💡 *Reason for modification: Although she said he was not her type, I felt it was strange that she needed to mention it, so made a small adjustment*

**Penny's dialogue:**

• **Before modification:** "I wonder if Maru and Dr. Harvey will get together? I'm sure Harvey likes her...but I think Maru needs to take the first step."
• **Modified:**"I wonder how Maru is doing at the clinic with Dr. Harvey? I hope she is happy"

💡 *Reason for modification: I want to emphasize the friendship between Penny and Maru, rather than letting her bring together friends and bosses*
