Hardwood can be planted
🌱 Module introduction
This innovative mod allows you to grow hardwoods like regular crops in Stardew Valley! No more searching for hardwood resources, now you can cultivate this precious material directly on your farm.
🛒 How to get it
You can purchase hardwood seeds at Pierre's Grocery, and they will fully mature in just **4 days** after planting, greatly simplifying the process of obtaining hardwood.
🔧 Installation Guide
- **Download and unzip**
After downloading the module, unzip the file contents
- **Move Mod Folder**
Place the folder named `Growable Hardwood` to the following path:
`Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Mods`
- **Install necessary dependencies**
This mod requires the following dependencies:
- SMAPI - Mod loader for Stardew Valley
- JSON Assets - for adding custom items and crops
- SpaceCore - core library used by many mods
🎨 Future plans
- Consider adding usability in JojaMart to support late game progression
- Continue to develop and improve hardwood plant artwork
👥 Production Team
- **Markchill** - Mod concepts, programming, and hardwood botanical artwork
- **ErosDkAi** - Original seed sprite from the Plantable Ore mod, generously shared for use in this project
🛠️ Using tools
- Visual Studio 2022
- GIMP
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
