Green Rain dialogue modification
🌧️ **Make NPC reactions more realistic and reasonable! **
Module introduction
This module redesigns the dialogue content of NPCs in the green rain weather, and solves the problem of inconsistent logic of NPC behavior in the original game.
Major bug fixes
- 🏠 **At Home NPC**: Why are they still scared after knowing you were safe and sound in the rain?
- 🍻 **Gathering in the tavern**: NPCs claimed that the green rain was dangerous, but they all gathered in the tavern - how did they get there without getting wet from the rain?
- 📮 **Letter Delivery**: How does a letter get to you without anyone walking in the rain?
Dialogue modification example
Caroline
**Original**: "I've never seen green rain... If you can get here, it must not be too dangerous!"
**Edited**: "Now that you're here, I guess Green Rain isn't that bad. I know Abigail wants to explore, but I don't spend enough time with her. Shhh, this is our little secret."
Gus
**Original**: "I saw the weather forecast last night and it really scared me! Are there monsters outside? What happened?"
**Edited**: "I saw the weather forecast last night and it really scared me! Mayor Lewis and Harvey helped us all get here before the rain started. Hopefully there are no monsters out there, poor Evelyn and George must be scared."
Harvey
**Original**: "I brought some medical supplies just in case. Be careful out there!"
**Modified**: "The weather forecast last night said there would be green rain. I gathered some medical supplies and came over."
Jas
**Original**: "I'm afraid..."
**Modified**: "The rain is scary, but I will be brave."
Personalization
💡 **IMPORTANT FEATURE**: You can choose to turn off dialogue modification for each NPC individually!

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
