Goober Portraits
🎨 **Personally drawn Stardew Valley character portrait replacement pack**
✨ Module introduction
I'm spending several months redesigning existing character portraits to ensure stylistic consistency.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
**You need to install the Portraiture mod for this package to work properly. **
This mod cannot be run standalone, currently I can only create portrait files, waiting for the future to be able to convert it into a standalone package independent of Portraiture.
🎯 How to use
I now upload each image individually and you can choose which portrait you want to use.
(Yes, I recently started over again. This time I tried using Rebelle 7 to draw/paint in a new style.)

❓ FAQ
**"Can I use these portraits in my modpack?"**
sure! If anyone asks about the source, make sure to link back here, or credit my contribution in some way!
**"Why are you doing this?"**
Because I like it.
**"Can I use these likenesses in video/live content I produce online?"**
Yes, the rules are the same as before - I just want to get the recognition I deserve for the content I create!
**"Why did it take so long?"**
It's complicated.
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
