🛠️ Installation Guide

- Download and install the latest version of SMAPI and Alternative Textures
- Download and unzip the "Em's Cows AT" folder
- Move the folder to the `Stardew Valley/Mods/` directory
- Buy paint tools at Robin’s Carpenter Shop
- Use the scissors tool to left-click the cow to select the type
Content patcher version
- Download and install the latest version of SMAPI and Content Patcher
- Download and unzip the "Em's Cows CP" folder

⚙️ Custom settings
**Store Icon**: The Holstein cow icon is used by default, if you need to change it:
- Find the `config.json` file in the `Shop Icons` folder
- Modify the configuration to choose the type of cow you like
**Content patcher version configuration**:
- After running the game for the first time, a `config.json` file will be generated in the module folder
- Open the file and replace "Holstein" or "Guernsey" with your preferred cow type name
- Your choices also affect the cow icon in Marnie's shop

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
