Dynamic Modular Carpets & Flooring
🎉 **Welcome to Dynamic Modular Carpets and Flooring! **
🌟 Origin of creativity
The idea for this mod was born when I was working on a "Comfortable Modern Bathroom" where I created over 300 mini rugs in order to make bathroom rugs of any size. This became overly complicated and the user experience was poor... but luckily **rokugin** saved me from giving up on the idea by suggesting using the vanilla path as a base!
The more I explore this mechanism, the more I want to use it to create original rugs and floors of any shape and size! How many times have I given up on a rug because it wasn't the right size - only 2x3 when I needed 3x4? Want a 1x5 strip rug but only have a 4x5 large rug? Now we can have all sizes!
🛠️ Essential module
To access and use carpets (paths) in the game, you need to install the following mods:
- **Content Patcher** - Most of our wonderful mods wouldn't be available without it, which you probably already have installed :)
- **SpaceCore** - The magic that makes custom rug stores and amazing custom store labels possible!
💡 Recommended modules
Here are some highly recommended add-on mods to make your gaming experience smoother (optional):
- **Smart Building** - Highly recommended for easy placement and removal of carpet tiles!
🎯 Content details
You can access carpet tiles in two ways:
- Purchase the Portable Custom Rug Store from Pierre for 10,000g (you can get as many tiles for free with your purchase!)
- Use CJB generator to generate tiles
🎨 Texture content
In version 1.0.0, 115 textures are included, all carefully reworked to create seamless dynamic shapes:
- **Original Rug** - Contains almost all rugs except a few very small rugs (burlap pads, etc.)
- **Original Flooring** - Mainly non-plank variants including patterns and carpets
- **Town Interiors** - Many rugs and patterns from the interior of Pelican Town
🔮 Future update plan
- Added all remaining original floors (including wooden floors)
- Added more carpets and floors from town interiors
- Add rugs and rugs from my cozy modern bathroom furniture pack
- Add any requested pattern or texture
- and anything else I can think of!
🙏 Acknowledgments
Special thanks to **rokugin** for saving my sanity with his idea! 1000% credit goes to him! ❤️
Also thanks to my amazing supportive/encouraging/grounding group on Discord for putting up with my stupid questions, fueling my scope creep tendencies, and supporting me through the inevitable crises! Thanks to **Claire**, **Kisaa**, **Tia**, and our master of chaos **Aviroen**! Without you, my prank wouldn't be possible! ❤️

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
