🛠️ How to use
Set tile properties
The simplest way is to use Content Patcher to modify map tile properties:
```json
{
"Format": "1.23.0",
"Changes": [
{
"Action": "EditMap",
"Target": "Maps/Farm",
"MapTiles": [
{
"Position": { "X": 72, "Y": 15 },
"Layer": "Back",
"SetProperties": {
"DMT/changeIndexOn": "69"
}
}
]
}
]
}
```
🎮 Trigger method
The module supports multiple triggering methods:
One-time trigger
- Any property key can be added with the `Once` suffix, which will be automatically removed after being triggered once
Conditional trigger
- **Explode** - triggered when a tile is destroyed by an explosion
- **Push** - triggered when the tile is pushed
- **Pushed** - triggered when the tile has finished pushing
- **On** - Triggered when the farmer steps on the tile (background layer only)
- **Off** - triggered when the farmer leaves the tile (background layer only)
Tool trigger
Triggered when using a specific tool. Supported tools include:
- Axes, hoes, watering cans, pickaxes, etc.
Item trigger
Triggered when holding specific items
🎬 Practical application
This framework is already used by several mods, such as:
- **Treasure Chest Room in Extra Mine Map** - Demonstrates the power of the mod
🎥 Demonstration video
The module contains two demonstration videos showing various functions in action:
- Push tiles, explosion effects, animation playback, etc.
- Complex interactive systems and state changes

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
