❓ FAQ

**Q: Is this mod compatible with other mods? **

A: Should be compatible with most mods. It does not modify any lines of code and has minimal to no conflicts with other mods. If you don't have access to the catalog's original UI, you can set a hotkey in the configuration to open the customizer.

**Q: Does it support module NPC? **

A: Yes! You can create a portrait for any modded NPC that is social. The module automatically obtains NPC information without requiring additional work from the mod author.

**Q: Can I add custom backgrounds and frames? **

A: Of course! There are two different ways to add, see here for details.

**Q: How to use NPC’s winter clothing? **

A: The module obtains the current sprite map of each NPC. If you want to use winter sprites, you need to wait until winter. This applies to all situations (beach, seasonal clothing in the corresponding season, etc.).

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)

  1. Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
  2. Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
  3. Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
  4. Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.

Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
