- **7 different events**: Mostly based on events you can experience with other NPCs (the author claims to be a programmer rather than a writer)
- **Special Fertility Event**: Mod inspired by kristinthered
- **Daily Interaction**: Right-click your spouse every day to interact, and a dialogue will appear (the current dialogue content is the same)
- **Custom Nickname**: You can set exclusive nicknames for each other through the general module configuration menu (both players need to configure it)
- **Custom Portraits**: Custom portraits can be created for each player and placed in the CoupleEvents.Content/Custom/Portraits/ folder

If you understand how Stardew Valley events work, you can check out the events.yaml file to learn how to make your own events for couples.
You are also welcome to publish your own couple events, just make sure to set Couple Events as a dependency or it won't work properly.

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
