About this mod Machine translation

Never miss a conversation again! Adds a conversation log feature to the game, allowing you to re-read any new messages you might have missed.

Conversation log

💬 **Never miss a conversation! ** This mod adds a complete dialogue log system to the game, allowing you to review conversations you may have missed at any time.

✨ Main functions

The current version records conversations in the chat box, giving the game a familiar MMO feel. You can adjust the following features in the mod configuration:

  • 🎭 **Character Emoticons**: Replace speaker names with character emoticons where possible
  • 📊 **Display number expansion**: Increase the maximum number of messages displayed in the chat box from 10 to 15
  • 🔕 **Notification Control**: Prevent logs from popping up as chat notifications (can be set globally or only during events)
  • 🎨 **Interface Customization**: Adjust the chat box width and the opacity of the chat notification background
  • 💭 **Bubble Text Recording**: Record speaking bubble text above your head

🌍 Multi-language support

Contains configuration translations for French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German.

In addition:

  • Chinese translation - produced by wy189
  • Korean Translation - Made by jjongleee

⚠️ Known issues

For technical reasons, some speech bubbles may not be recorded even if the relevant option is enabled. This mainly happens with random NPC greetings and other non-critical environmental messages, event and location related messages should not suffer from this issue.

🎮 **Game experience improvement**: Now you can have quick conversations with peace of mind without worrying about missing important information! Whether it's NPC's daily chat or key plot dialogue, you can check it in the log at any time.

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)

  1. Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
  2. Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
  3. Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
  4. Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.

Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
