🌤️ Notice to Players

If you're a casual player, this mod probably won't have much direct use for you - unless you're using other mods that require it as a front-end. If this is the case, just download and install it without paying too much attention.

🛠️ Mod Developer Guide

Cloudy Skies provides a powerful framework that allows you to add custom weather types to your game through content packs! 🌈

**what does that mean? **

In Stardew Valley version 1.6, the game already supports adding custom weather IDs, but just having an ID is not enough. Cloudy Skies fills this gap, allowing you to easily add rendering effects and other features to your custom weather!

**Quick Start**

  • 📖 Guidelines for Authors
  • 📦 Sample Content Pack - Content file with detailed annotations

**IMPORTANT NOTE** ⚠️

Your custom weather won't appear automatically! You need to add it to `Data/LocationContexts` just like any other weather.

**Developer Tools** 🔧

  • Ability to create custom weather totems (see author guide for details)
  • Use the `cs_tomorrow` command to force tomorrow's weather
  • Use the `cs_list` command to view all available weather type IDs

🔗 Compatibility

✅ **Fully Compatible**

  • Supports Stardew Valley version 1.6 (Linux/Mac/Windows)
  • Compatible with common module configuration menu

-Supports single and multiplayer game modes

🐛 Known issues

There are currently no known issues! If you find any bugs, please provide feedback!

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)

  1. Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
  2. Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
  3. Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
  4. Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.

Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
