About this mod Machine translation
A simple in-game cheat menu with lots of cheats.
The CJB Cheat Menu allows you to press P (configurable) to display the full cheat menu:
For non-English speaking players, translations are included in the base mod. Contributions are welcome!
Install the latest version of SMAPI.
Download this mod and unzip it into Stardew Valley/Mods.
Use SMAPI to run the game.
Load your save and press P on your keyboard to bring up the cheat menu. Press the button when the in-game menu is not displayed.
To change the button:
On Linux/macOS/Windows, open the menu and use the Controls tab to select a different controller/keyboard/mouse button. (You can also change config.json directly if needed.
On Android, see Using keybindings on Android.
If the menu is not open:
See "How to use" above.
When you launch the game, does it open two windows (one for the game and one for the SMAPI console)? Otherwise, SMAPI is not installed correctly. Please make sure to follow all steps in the SMAPI installation guide.
This mod is not part of SMAPI. After installing SMAPI, see the installation steps above.
The menu does not open if other menus or dialog boxes are already open.
If it still doesn't work, please ask in the comments! Be sure to read the pinned comment for instructions.
Is the mod still compatible?
This mod is compatible with Stardew Valley 1.5.5 or higher on Linux/macOS/Windows, both single-player and multiplayer.
Does this mod work on Android?
Yes, just use the Android version in the optional file.
Does this mod work in multiplayer?
Yes, all cheats should work in multiplayer (except changing time if you are a farmhand). The mod is local, so it doesn't matter if only some players have it (whether they are moderators or farm workers).
These cheats will affect all players: instant buildings, fast machines, harvesting with scythe, adding money (if money is shared), durable fences, automatic feeding, unlimited hay, setting weather and time for tomorrow. Otherwise cheating will only affect you.
Other players usually won't see you using cheats (unless used indirectly, such as using the speed cheat to zoom the screen). However, they may install mods that specifically detect the mods you have installed.
Does this mod conflict with other mods?
There are no known mod conflicts.
Can you remove the limit on daily NPC conversations?
No. Because of the way dialogue works in the game, NPCs will repeat the same lines no matter what. (This mod does remove gift restrictions, however.
Can you add custom skills/careers to the list?
Not currently. Custom skills are difficult to support because of the way they work in the game. This is something I'd like to look into in a future version, although it's a lower priority as it may require changes to all skill mods as well.
Can you add custom computers to the list?
Yes, once Stardew Valley 1.6 is released, it will be added with some new changes in that update.
Are there any known issues?
In rare cases, the movement speed option may cause you to walk slower after a cutscene. This is a game bug and when you reload a save it resets. This is fixed in the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6.
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
