🔧 Installation steps

Step 1: Modify manifest.json

You need to modify the manifest.json file of the original Hat Mouse Lacey module and add the following code:

Step 2: Place the portrait file

There are two methods:

• **Create folder manually:**
• Go to `/mods/portraiture/portraits/`
• Create a folder called `Hat Mouse Lacey`
• Place portrait pictures into this folder

• **Automatic installation:**
• Unzip this module file directly
• Place the Portraiture folder into `stardew valley/mods`

🎮 How to use

**Shortcut key operation:**

• **P key** - Switch portrait set while dialog is open
• **I key** - switches between large portrait and normal portrait above the dialog box (not recommended because portraits have a background)
• **O KEY** - Pin or unpin portrait set selection for a specific NPC

💝 Author’s words

This mod took me almost a month to make! I tried my best to keep the design of the original elf, making sure the costumes and colors matched as much as possible. While I'm not a huge fan of furries or anthropomorphic animals, I think the original Hat Mouse Lacey mod is really cool!

In the future I plan to update a more orcish version to make her look more like a little mouse. If you're interested in helping remove the portrait background, feel free to contact me and I'll re-upload it as an optional download and give credit accordingly!
