Camelus - Camel extension

Add new functionality to SVE's camel. They have a new appearance, cubs, multiple colors, produce hair and milk, and are compatible with the Animal Husbandry mod

Camelus - Camel extension

🐫 **Camels** are one of the longest-domesticated farm animals in the world, and now they can do even more in Stardew Valley! This mod was originally intended to just be a retexture for SVE's camels, but as ideas kept coming, it eventually developed into a full camel expansion mod.

🎨New camel texture

A new look based on the dromedary (also known as the Arabian camel), although they are not the kind that produces camel hair for textiles, this is the species of camel used in SVE.

👶 Baby Camel and Pregnancy System

Camels now have a calf stage and adult camels are no longer purchased directly. You can see baby camels following the adults. Meanwhile, camels can now get pregnant and give birth like other farm animals.

✂️ Trim camel hair

Camels no longer shed their hair on the barn floor, but instead become shaggy and need to be trimmed like sheep. Of course, if they're in a fancy barn, you don't need to worry about this.

🔊 New sound effects

Camels no longer use the original game's sound effects, and now have more realistic sound effects, with different sound effects for baby and adult camels.

🌈 Multiple color variations

Your camel can come in 10 different color variations, from albino to black to piebald. Configuration options also allow camel hair and camel hair yarn to match the color of the camel.

🥛 Camel milk and cheese

Camels are now all female and can be milked via Extra Animal Config. Camel milk can be used like any other milk in the game and can be put into a cheese press to get camel cheese.

⚫ Void Camel

Through special unlock conditions, you can get an additional special camel variant - the Void Camel! Just like Void Chickens, these camels have unique products that cost more than regular camels.

🎁 NPC gift preference

Added gift preferences for base game NPCs and SVE's NPCs.

🍖Animal Husbandry Mod Compatibility

If you prefer using the Animal Husbandry mod, you can now get camel meat. Camels now have proper snacks, and the Camel Steak recipe can be purchased from the Desert Merchant.

🎨 ZH's Artisanal Goods Compatibility

All items have ZH's Artisanal Goods textures, and you can adjust the different variations to your liking.

⚙️ Configuration options

🔇 Disable new camel sound effects

Enabling this option turns off the new camel sound effects and reverts to SVE's original sound effects.

⚫ Disable Void Camel

Enable this option to remove all Void Camel and Void Camel products.

🌈 Enable matching color items - *disabled by default*

If enabled, camel hair and camel hair yarn will match the color of the camel from which it comes.

🧀 Preserve quality of handmade products - disabled by default

If enabled, camel cheese and camel hair yarn will retain the quality of their raw materials.

🥛 Big milk products

Choose the results you want when putting camel milk in a cheese press.

📥 Installation instructions

• Install SMAPI
• Install Content Patcher and Stardew Valley Expanded and all their dependencies
• Install Generic Mod Config Menu for easy configuration
• Download the main .zip file of this module and install it
• When starting the game for the first time after installation, use the Generic Mod Config Menu to configure the module.

Finish! Now you can start the game.
