Buildable Farmers Market
🌟 Features
Build your own farmers market and sell products directly to villagers! It's a lightweight alternative to transforming the beautiful market furniture found in the HxW Farmers Market Core and other HxW packs into a functional store.
🛒 How to sell
- Simply place a market furniture and click on it to start selling
- The types of items available for sale depend on the type of furniture: for example, an apricot bucket sells spring fruits, a donut display case sells baked goods, and a chanterelle box sells mushrooms
- Items worth 0g are displayed as useful lists to help you understand what is available for sale per furniture type
- Large displays have multiple slots to sell different types of products, but trigger less specific conversations
💬 Villager interaction
- Any items sold through your stall may trigger villager comments
- Integrated with game-based gift preference dialogue system
- Contains more than 500 semi-random dialogue lines, covering all original villagers
- Villagers will tell you what they plan to do with the purchased ingredients, their thoughts on the catch or seasonal produce, and even express their expectations for desserts
- Customizable interaction frequency settings
🏪 Pelican Town Market
- After selling enough products, an event with Lewis will be triggered, starting **Pelican Town Market** in front of the community center
- It was a passive festival that started small with only Pierre and Robin selling products
- The more you sell, the more successful and larger the market will be
- Don’t worry about not being able to buy animals, upgrade tools, or get seeds: merchants still provide all services during the market
- The market will expand over time, adding more stalls and visitors
⚙️ Configuration options
- **Town Market**: Choose whether to include passive market festivals
- **Market Progress Mode**: Choose whether to enable Market Festival Progress Mode
- **Accelerated Progress**: Choose the waiting time between market stages
- **Progress Difficulty**: Select the difficulty level of the market expansion (Easy, Normal, Hard, Extreme)
- **Progress Date**: Select the specific date when the market will open in each season
- **Conversation Frequency**: Select how often purchase-related conversations are triggered

🔗 Compatibility
In addition to **HxW Farmers Market Core** furniture, the following HxW furniture packages are also compatible:
- HxW Farmers Market - Fishmonger and Butcher Set
- HxW Farmers Market - Bakery Set
- HxW Farmers Market - Wildflour Set
- HxW Boutique Bakery
- HxW greenhouse furniture
Fully compatible with **Wildflour's Atelier Goods** and **Cornucopia - More Crops**. For optimal synergy, **Fresh Farm Produce** is highly recommended!
🗺️ Map Compatibility
- Market map changes compatible with **Overgrown Valley**
- Other mods that modify the base game map may have visual incompatibilities
👥 NPC author support
NPC authors can add compatibility to their own characters! The BFM market is implemented as a passive holiday and will not change or interfere with the NPC's normal schedule. Authors can use BFM's dialogue triggers to have characters visit the marketplace or review products.
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
