Buff Crops

🌱 **Let mature crops bring you attribute bonuses! **

✨ Core Functions

This mod will provide various buffs based on the crops you grow on your farm and reach full maturity. Each mature crop contributes a small bonus to a specific attribute, and these bonuses are combined at the start of each day.

**Give me a chestnut** 🌰:

  • A single garlic crop contributes: Speed +0.01, Combat Level +0.01
  • Plant 100 garlic plants: gain +1 speed, +1 combat level

🌟 Giant Crop Bonus

Giant crops are even more powerful! This gives you one more reason to keep them besides just aesthetics.

💡 **HIGHLY RECOMMENDED** Use in conjunction with 6480's giant crop module. This module has preset support for the gain values of those new giant crops.

🛠️ Technical details

Different types of crops provide different buffs:

  • Combat level, farming level, fishing level
  • Mining level, luck level, foraging level
  • Maximum physical strength, magnetic radius, speed
  • Defense, attack, immunity
  • Various multipliers, etc.

📝Mod Development

Modders can easily add buffs to their crops by editing the crop data and adding custom fields.

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)

  1. Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
  2. Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
  3. Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
  4. Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.

Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
