Basically, I modified an existing sprinkler to make it perform better. Report abuse
This mod improves existing sprinklers by letting you configure them to your liking, it also features highlighted areas for scarecrows and sprinklers.
The configuration hotkey is "K" and you can edit it in the configuration file. Sadly, there's currently no way to edit hotkeys in the game.
As for how the mod works: it adds additional watering areas to existing sprinklers, but it cannot remove watering areas from existing sprinklers.
The original idea of this mod was just to improve the ordinary sprinkler, which is very terrible, and for optimal use, a non-standard farm organization is required, causing conflict problems with the protagonist.
The 1.x version was completely rewritten for this 2.0 version to support future sprinkler mods, UI based configuration and other nice features including auto-balancing.
feature
The default sprinkler shape allows for greater flexibility in server farm layout.
Literally, you can use any shape you want.
Unlimited sprinkler range (although manual editing of the configuration file is required, not recommended).
Auto-balancing, sprinkler currency value and crafting cost increase with sprinkler area, ensuring the game remains balanced.
You can cheat in two different ways, but I won't explain how, that's for the more adventurous.
When placing sprinklers or scarecrows, you can highlight the area they cover.
You can also see area highlighting when you hover your cursor over existing sprinklers and scarecrows after pressing the hotkey (default is F3).
usage
Press K, edit what you want, and click OK.
Sprinklers activate at night, just like normal game rules.
There is a feature that highlights scarecrow effect areas and sprinkler areas, it's always on when you want to place them, and can toggle those on and off if you just hover your cursor over them, the default button in the configuration is F3.
Install
Just unzip the .zip file in the mods folder.
uninstall
Just delete the mod file again.
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
