Better Junimos performance optimization
🎮 **Make your Stardew Valley experience smoother! **
Problem Solved
Hello everyone! I am a gamer from China. I found that some players experienced game lag and frame drops after installing the original Better Junimos mod. The specific performance is: every 10 minutes of game time, the frame rate will drop once (for me, it dropped from 60 frames to 40 frames, lasting 1-3 seconds).
Optimization principle
With the help of AI tools, I optimized this module (based on the author's source code on GitHub).
**Root cause:** When you increase the "working radius" in the settings menu, the double-layer loop of the original `SearchHutGrid` needs to scan more plots - its workload increases quadratically, which is the reason for the obvious lag.
Optimization effect
After my patch, the frame drop only happened once (around 6:10am) and it ran smoothly the entire day after that. Junimos will still water, fertilize, and harvest crops normally on the farm.
⚠️ **Note:** Since I have no need to use a greenhouse, I have not tested the working of Junimo in a greenhouse. Overall, it’s no problem at all to help manage your crops on the farm!

🌟 **Optimization Highlights:**
- Eliminate periodic lag issues
-Keep the original functions of Junimo unchanged
- Greatly improve game fluency
Thank you for your attention! Hope this optimized version will make your gaming experience more enjoyable!
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
