I love placing butterfly houses in greenhouses, but butterfly houses in the game often spawn very few butterflies. After getting fed up with this, I developed this mod!
🎯 Main functions
- **Custom Butterfly Spawn Range**: Set the minimum and maximum number of butterflies spawned for indoor and outdoor locations respectively
- **Adjust transaction cost**: Modify the number of bat wings required to exchange for a butterfly hut from a desert merchant
- **Right-click to generate**: Right-click on the hut to generate additional butterflies (random number)
- **Smart Weather Control**: Butterflies will not be generated in rainy, snowy or windy weather, more in line with realistic logic
🌿 Outdoor placement instructions
The original game code allowed butterflies to spawn in bad weather and at night, which did not match the behavior of butterflies in their natural environment. This module will:
- Prevent butterflies from spawning under these conditions
- Remove butterflies that have spawned under these conditions

The following settings can be easily adjusted using the common module configuration menu:
**Indoor Setting:**
- Minimum number of spawns (set to 0 to disable indoor functionality)
- Maximum number of spawns
**Outdoor Setting:**
- Minimum number of spawns (set to 0 to disable outdoor functionality)
- Maximum number of spawns
**Other options:**
- The number of bat wings required for the transaction (default 200 in the original version)
- Whether butterflies spawn outdoors in winter
- Whether to spawn Ginger Island butterflies indoors on the main continent
- Whether butterflies are generated at night (allowing indoor butterflies to rest like outdoor butterflies)

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
