🎭 Character design concept
I originally made Penny have light brown hair to better match her yellow shirt, while also slightly reducing the number of red-haired single women in Stardew Valley (not that there's anything wrong with red hair, it's just that I personally prefer some variety, and there weren't any brown-haired single women that struck a chord with me at the time).
This time I made a version of Penny that looked more like her mother, trying to match the eye color and adopt a similar hair color, with a light blue shirt instead of the traditional yellow. Thought this edit was cute, I may still upload the brown haired version, but not anytime soon.
🎮 Instructions for use
If you find something I've missed or the sprite shading isn't good enough, feel free to make adjustments! This mod is free to use and edit.

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
