Problem description
In the original game, the Bait Master profession (crab pots no longer require bait) was the only profession that actively made your crab pots worse! Because it removes the ability to use Deluxe Lure (which changes fish to Silver quality) or Wild Lure (which has a chance to get double fish).
Solution
This mod fixes this by changing the effect of the Bait Master: **Make the crab pots return bait**! This way you can still use Deluxe/Wild/Rage Bait while enjoying the dual benefits of free bait and bait bonuses!
Installation instructions
- Download and install SMAPI and Extra Machine Config
- Extract this mod into the game's Mods folder

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
