Pack Possum and Critter Cages - Trinkets
🎒 Backpacking Possum: at your service
Once you unlock the Adventurer's Guild, you can hire the Backpack Possum from the Adventurer's Guild store. Her cost is 3,000 gold coins a day (or 15,000 gold coins a week, and 50,000 gold coins a full season after being hired at least once). She can also be hired later from the Mine Dwarves and Volcano Dwarves for the same price.
✨ **Features:**
- No need to unlock accessory slots/combat mastery to hire
- Does not occupy the accessory slot
- Shake bushes and trees to collect foraged items for you
- Can put items into her backpack
🎮 **How to operate:**
- Press the `Open Trinket Inventory` key (default RightAlt & OemPeriod, or via TrinketTinker's GMCM settings) to view and manage her backpack
- Press the `Interact` key (default LeftAlt & MouseRight, or via TrinketTinker's GMCM settings) to talk to her
- If you leave items in her backpack, she will place them in the lost and found area for you

🐾 Creature Cage: Accessories within accessories
When unequipped, the Creature Cage trinket can be "used" (as if trying to eat food or read a book) to open an inventory that can hold more trinkets. Whenever the Creature Cage trinket itself is equipped, the trinket inside it will also be equipped. This applies to both the vanilla trinket and the TrinketTinker trinket.
💰 **Purchase information:**
Purchased from desert merchants, three levels are available:
- **Creature Cage (Iridium)**: Holds 2 trinkets, costs 15 Iridium Bars
- **Bio Cage (Radioactive)**: Holds 4 trinkets, costs 5 Radioactive Bars
- **Creature Cage (Prism)**: Holds 6 trinkets, costs 15 Colorful Shards
⚠️ **Note:**
If a creature cage containing trinkets is lost, they will be sent to the Lost and Found Office

⚡ Unlock the accessory slot in advance
This is a "cheat" option that allows you to unlock accessory slots before combat mastery. With this option enabled, trinkets may also drop from monsters before combat mastery.
🔧 **Setting method:**
- Enabled in GMCM (off by default)
- Requires 1 save/load to take effect
- If you forget to retrieve your trinkets when this option is turned off, it will take another day for them to show up in the lost and found area
---
🌟 Compatibility
- **Wear More Rings**: The second accessory slot can also be equipped with a creature cage
🌍 Language support

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
