Add TV Channel - Travel Van Schedule
🎯 Original intention of creation
I loved the vibe of the original game and didn't want too much interface overlay - but during that busy first year I kept forgetting Fridays and Sundays and missed the traveling van. This mod adds in-game reminders instead of more screen clutter.
📺 How it works
On days when the traveling van comes to visit, check the TV in the morning. A new channel will play a short, static-laced line that you can overhear. No tooltips, no icons - just watch.
The radio won't explain anything. Just a confusing conversation about selling something and getting you somewhere. If you happen to hear that broadcast, take it as your cue: Today is the day the traveling van comes to visit!
🔧 Technical Description
- Built on custom TV channel framework
- Localization structure inspired by Gossip Girl TV module
- The basic text is in English, but the Korean version was mainly tested
⚠️ Known issues
I can't change the channel title.
(It seems other modders have had the same problem. This is beyond my coding level, hopefully someone can post a better version.)
💡 Usage suggestions
Make it a habit to check the TV every morning! This mysterious broadcast is like a secret signal from the Gotoro black market, reminding you not to miss the precious goods in the travel van.
Enjoy this mod - may your "Gotoro Black Market Rumors" always arrive on time!

📝 Personal Notes
To be honest, I used to use UI Info Suite 2 and Daily Screenshot mod, but the tooltips were always caught in screenshots. When I saw the custom TV channel framework, I realized it would be a neater solution.
🔄 Permission Description
Anyone is welcome to modify or reinvent this mod and redistribute it to their liking - no permission from me is required. Honestly, it would be better if someone who really knew modding (or someone with a stronger concept) built and released it. I'm just putting this idea out there because no one else seems to be doing it.
Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
