I've always found it difficult to pick out Zoras' voice among ambient sounds and music, so I decided to modify her audio. She's a super follower and has original dialogue in almost every situation/mission in the game, which helped me figure out more of what I was talking about. I've popped my mod cherry here, so please hi!
I initially analyzed all tracks and only the processed files showed a 3db or better increase to the 6db normalized baseline, 30% of the tracks were untouched. However, I found that it provided a more consistent experience for processing almost all tracks, so now I have version 2. It's not a 6db straight or flat boost, and without success, the Zora became too loud at times. Version 2 actually handles more files, but most files will dial the baseline back to 4db.
I also found that re-blurring (Skyrim's audio compressor) didn't hurt the quality much after adding it, the difference wasn't worth the amount of storage used by the WAV file. I'm not greedy for disk storage and use a pair of $1000 headphones, so a "good enough" sound quality version should match most people's expectations.

You need the 3dnpc mod to hear these tracks,
The original mod is here -
You can get the SSE port of the full mod in the download -
This file is for Oldrim and SE, installed after the main mod and overwritten when prompted, it is not a plugin, only Zora's character has audio.

I always found it hard to make out Zoras voice over ambient sounds and music, so I decided to touch up her audio. She is a super follower and has original dialog for almost every situation/quest in the game, this helps me make out more of the content when she speaks. I'm bursting my mod cherry here so please be nice!
I originally analyzed all the tracks and only processed files which showed 3db or better increase with a 6db normalization baseline, 30 percent of the tracks I did not touch. However, I found it made for a more consistent experience to process almost all of her tracks and so now I have version 2. This is not a straight or flat boost of 6db across the board, that did not work out and Zora becomes too loud at times. In fact version 2 processes more files but dialed the baseline back to 4db for most of them.
I also found re-fuzzing (Skyrim's audio compressor) after putting the gain in did not damage the quality much, the difference was not worth the amount of storage that WAV files use. I'm not starving for disk storage and use a pair of $1000 headphones, so that version of "good enough" audio quality should match up well with most people's expectations.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
