describe
I've made this mod for myself and I decided to share it after chatting with a few (Skyrim player) friends.
I love modding Skyrim and also love when a mod has an MCM menu for configuration. But my modding addiction made the "infinite scroll game find the one menu I was looking for" turn the MCM menu page. Therefore, I made a module to manage MCM menus and allow me to hide menu pages that I don't use often.
I chose the name "YeOlde-Settings" because I will be adding more (not necessarily MCM menu related) configuration material soon.
The current functionality is:
MCM menu hidden
Backup/Import all *your visible MCM menu configurations
Hide MCM menu (v1.0.0+)
Now you can hide/show any MCM menu you don't need. You just need to check/unlock your mod in the MCM menu.
How does it work?
I have modified the SkyUI Config Manager script to allow us to disable any installed MCM menu. The MCM menu is still installed but will not appear in the MCM menu page.
warn:
Since I hide certain MCM menus, they will remain hidden if you uninstall my mod. Therefore, you need to unhide all menus before uninstalling. If you don't read this warning and uninstall my mod without unhiding all menus, a panic button appears in my MCM menu to help you restore the menus.
So if you uninstalled this mod and lost some MCM menus, just reinstall it, press the panic button and wait (1 minute, maybe more) until Sky UI brings them back.
Backup/import your MCM menu configuration (v1.1.0+)
Now you can backup all *visible MCM menu configurations, even those for which they were not designed.
If you want to skip a mod, just hide the mod before backing it up.
For more information about features and updates, see Now cards in the Posts section.
Warning: This feature is in alpha to allow people to test as many mods as possible. It won't break your game, but the backup/import job may crash, or the import function may lose some configuration options here and there.
You do so at your own risk.
How does it work?
I've modified the SkyUI script to call each menu option with "fake". While making these fake calls, I get all the configuration information and backup it in a json file. When importing data I call the UI to force the values and that's it!
Backup files are stored in the My Games/[Skyrim folder]/JCUser/yeolde-settings folder.
Currently, you cannot rename or have multiple backups. I will add some options soon™.
compatibility
This mod is compatible with Skyrim SE and Skyrim VR (there are still minor differences between the two).
It is incompatible with any module that modifies SkyUI scripts.
MCM menu hidden
It should be compatible with any other mod.
Backup/Import your MCM menu configuration
This tool cannot complete some mod backups:
(See Sticky Notes for the latest list)
Loading order
Since it overwrites some SkyUI scripts, it must be loaded after Sky UI.

Description
I've made this mod for myself and I decided to share after a small talk with a few (Skyrim players) friends.
I love modding Skyrim and I love when mods have a MCM menu for configurations. But my modding addiction transforms the MCM menu page in an "infinite scrolling game to find the one menu I'm looking for". So I've made a mod to manage MCM menus and allow me to hide menu pages that I don't use on a regular basis.
I choosed the name "YeOlde - Settings" because I'll add more (not necessarily related to MCM menus) configuration stuff soon™.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
