Is your character injured, but you have no way of showing it? Wounds offers 13 new overlays ("Body Paints") for Racemenu, many of which are cuts and bruises caused by unfortunate events specific to your character.

13 new overlays

I'm a big fan of IronDusk33's mod "Wounds", so my characters are often out injured for days or weeks. To illustrate this point, I created this mod which offers 13 new Overlays for different parts of the body (arms, legs, back and torso) showing wounds or bruises.

This mod is a simple 2K overlay, it won't be applied dynamically or anything like that. You will need to edit your character via showracemenu (with RaceMenu installed) to apply damage. They may also look like scars if the color changes to gray.

Some of the wounds (wounds on the legs and back) can be difficult to see on RaceMenu, so I recommend moving the camera to actually see them.

Mods are marked as ESL so they don't take up slots in the load order.

compatibility

It should be compatible with skin mods for all characters, I imagine body types too, but the scar placement may be different based on them. It's compatible with other overlays too, I personally recommend DomainWolf's incredible skin-capable overlays.

You can see a list of 13 overlay locations in the image below:

Apply them to followers

Wounds can also be attached to your followers if using the EFF or EFF standalone cosmetics menu. This may make you more immersive if you use my mod Follower Death and Injury Chance, which may mark followers as injured. Link below!

13 New Overlays

I'm a big fan of the mod "Wounds" by IronDusk33, so my characters often spend days or weeks suffering from injuries. To showcase this, I've created this mod that provides 13 new Overlays that apply to different parts of the body (Arms, Legs, Back and Torso) displaying either cuts or bruises.

This mod is a simple 2K overlay, it does not get dynamically applied or anything like that. You will need to do edit your character via showracemenu with RaceMenu installed to apply the injuries. If you change the color to something greyish, they can also look like scars.

Some of the wounds (Those in the legs and in the back) can be hard to see on the RaceMenu, so I recommend moving the camera to actually see them.

Mod is marked as an ESL, so it won't take a slot in your load order.

Compatibility

It should be compatible with all character skin mods and I imagine body types as well, but the location of the scars might differ based on them. It's compatible with other overlays as well, I personally recommend the incredible Skin Feature Overlays by DomainWolf.

You can see a list with the location of the 13 overlays in the image below:

Applying them to Followers

The wounds can also be applied to your followers if using EFF or EFF Standalone Cosmetic Menu. This can be an extra bit of immersion if you're using my mod Follower Death and Injury Chance, which can mark followers as injured. Link below!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
