skyrim world map
Many of you are aware of Tim Cook's excellent work creating Skyrim's accurate terrain maps. The map itself is available as a vector image or a bitmap image. This little mod just implements it in Skyrim World Map mode by using the flat map design from Chesko and IcePenguin's A Quality World Map.
The map is completely flat with a strictly vertical appearance, covering not only the skyline but also parts of neighboring provinces. The zoom function is available, but lower values are limited due to the limitations of how flat maps work on Skyrim maps in natural 3D mode. Only the more popular full versions with hand-labeled and legended versions were ported to SE.
The Solstheim map will not be included - unfortunately, a topographic map of the island does not exist.
Hopefully you'll find it useful and more readable than the vanilla map. And I'm sure it will bring special memories to everyone who served in the military.

Premium World Map 9.0 - Paper
Install
This archive is compatible with mod Manager.
The mod contains 2 esps, the main map file and a weather fix in World Map mode to make the lighting best for reading the map. If using a mod manager, place them as low as possible in the loading order. A Quality World Map-paper esp should be placed before the two esps of this mod in the loading order.
Installing underthesky's Flat Map Markers is recommended but not mandatory (if not installed you will experience "current location" glitches and possible map marker movement when zooming).
compatibility
Apparently not compatible with any other map module. Any mod that modifies the world map weather should be placed higher in the load order.
Recommended modules
Atlas Map Markers and Atlas Map Markers - Works fine after updating with MCM, smaller markers make the map more readable, but be sure to put the Atlas esp before the Topographic Map in the load order.
Known issues
A small artifact in foggy or stormy weather.
credit
This mod brings together the hard work of the amazing Skyrim terrain map creator Tim Cook (400 hours of hard work), and the joint efforts of IcePenguin and Chesko to create and polish a "quality world map". Another thanks to underthesky's skse plugin for flattening map markers.
Special thanks to Dragonknightvita, Hazard and Stevethecoala for their testing and suggestions.

Topographic World Map of Skyrim
Many of you know beautiful work of Tim Cook who created accurate topographical map of Skyrim. Map itself is available as a vector or bitmap image. This little mod just implements it in Skyrim World Map mode with a use of flat map design from A Quality World Map by Chesko and IcePenguin.
Map is fully flat with strictly vertical look and covers not only Skyrim but a part of neighboring provinces. Zoom is available yet lower values are restricted due to limitations of how flat map works on naturally 3D mode of skyrim map. Only more popular full version with handmade markers and legend been ported to SE.
Solstheim map is not going to be included - topographic map for an island just doesn't exist, unfortunately.
Hope you will find it useful and way more readable than vanilla map …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
