SSE version of the awesome Witchery Skill mod by DavidTheFalcon, with his permission.

You can view the original mod here.

What it does is expand the vanilla alchemy tree with over 20 new perks based on The Witcher game series. It also adds the famous wizard singing as a power for your character to use.

If you find any bugs I'll try to fix them!

Instructions (from original mod page)

Witchery Skill (Vanilla Alchemy Expander) introduces Witcher-style perks, and since the life of a wizard is heavy on potions and elixirs, Alchemy Skill is the perfect skill for those perks. It was renamed "Witchery" and became a more Witchery-oriented skill by adding Witcher Alchemy (separate from vanilla Alchemy), magic tokens, and Witcher combat perks, benefiting primarily from the use of steel and silver swords. It's called an extender rather than a replacer, because all the original Alchemy perks are still there - they're just slightly tweaked to work perfectly in the overhauled shake tree, which contains over 20 all new Witcher-esque perks, divided into (more or less) 3 branches in addition to the original vanilla branch.

Perk Tree (from original mod page)

a) Vanilla Branch

The Witchery skill replaces Alchemy's skill, but all the vanilla perks remain there - technically it doesn't replace the Alchemy skill, just rename it. All vanilla perks except Alchemist retain the same effect. Made some minor changes to the conditions and requirements for making space in the perk tree for new branches. Alchemist has been tweaked for better game balance - it now offers 10/20/30/40/50 bonuses instead of 20/40/60/80/100 bonuses. Vanilla Alchemy has been destroyed and subdued, and now Witchery has new ways to improve skills and benefit from new perks. The vanilla branch also includes two new features.

Wizard's Oil (Poison, 40)

Poisons that work on steel and silver weapons last longer. This effect scales with your sorcery skills.

Wizard's Potion (Physician, 60)

As long as you are affected by the beneficial effects of the potion, the damage taken will be reduced by 10%.

b) Wizard Alchemy Chapter

The wizard alchemy branch allows you to brew wizard potions, oils, decoctions and mutagens, meditate or purge you of poisons and magical effects.

Trial of Grass (Alchemist, 20/40/60/80)

Mutations that make you 25%/50%/75%/100% resistant to disease, the ability to purge you of poison and remove magical effects through rest or meditation, and wizard sense powers that allow you to examine a target's weaknesses.

NOTE: Your toxicity will be reduced and the effects will be eliminated automatically. You don't need to do anything for it and you can't stop it.

Brewing (Trials of Grass, 35)

There is an alchemy laboratory nearby where you can brew wizard potions and oils. Alternatively, you can choose to let the potion brew while you rest. (Grants alchemical powers to wizards.)

Note: When you are near the Alchemy Laboratory, use the Wizard Alchemy power to access the Wizard Alchemy crafting menu. If you have the Meditation perk, you can also use power when near a campfire (if you have a Chesko campfire installed, its campfire should be automatically recognized). If there is no alchemy lab or fireplace nearby, a message box will pop up giving you the option to flush the potion next time you sleep.

Restock (Brewing, 60)

You can keep the leftovers of your wizard potions and replenish them with White Gulls to create a copy of the potion in your inventory.

NOTE: You must have a potion in your inventory for the Rehydration Recipe to appear - but the potion will not be consumed. Decoctions and oils cannot be replenished.

Decoction (Brewing, 70)

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
