Version 2.0 adds two new player houses. If you include the Windyridge Patch, there are a total of 3 houses in the city that players can live in.

The following article is very long, but please be patient and read one article. If you have any questions, you can leave a message in the related article I posted in Baha (use keyword search by yourself).

Winter garrison revival

Town expansion (author's note)

  • fish farm -

Follow the narrow path down the mountain under the bridge that connects the city to the Winter School. You can put fish in the pond, just like in the Fenglin Pavilion through the Hearthfire DLC.

  • Fishing Pier -

The fishing pier is within sight of the fish farm and can be seen as you follow the same path down the hill. There is also a ferry at the pier that can reach Solitude City, Morningstar City, Mesor City, Windhelm City and Woqiha Castle. Similar to the groom, you can rent a boat to cross the sea by chatting with him. In addition, the ferry can also transport players back to the Winter Garrison.

  • Greenhouse -

The greenhouse is maintained by the alchemist in the basement. Go to the alchemist shop located near the Freezing Hearth Inn. Go downstairs and you will find the entrance to the greenhouse. You can grow up to 80 plants there.

  • City Guards and Prison -

Most of the new guards added in the mod will sleep there after patrolling. The prison can be found in the basement. Please note that the author did not touch upon the crime system of Winter Garrison - when you commit a crime, you still go to Chill Prison, which is now purely for aesthetics. I'm thinking of adding a system that allows players to send NPCs there in the future, or even a torture chamber if enough people request it.

If the Empire gains control of the Winter Garrison, all guards added by the MOD, including those patrolling fish farms and fishing docks, will be replaced by Imperial soldiers, as will the guard captains. In addition to this, if they take over during the Civil War, the Guardsmen's winter garrison banners will be changed to Imperial flags, and even the temporary Temple of Talos in the guardhouse will be removed.

  • Landmarks -

There are two statues of Shalidor, the founder of Winter Quarters, one near the guardhouse holding a greatsword, and the other under an oak tree accompanied by an eagle. NPCs will gather around them from time to time, just like the green saplings in Whiterun. The Winter Garrison now houses a Temple of Yuni, a place of study and research inspired in part by the lore of TES II: Daggerfall. The temple houses the wand enchantment and scroll crafting station introduced by the Dragonborn DLC. Outside the temple, there is a statue of Yuni, the god of wisdom and magic in Nuobei. Outside the mead hall outside the docks is a statue of Kaina with a shrine and a plaque commemorating those who died in the collapse.

-Mead Hall-

It is located on the fishing pier. Food and drink can be purchased there, there are plenty of beds for you and your followers, and storage boxes have been installed in its basement. There is also a pool in the basement of the Mead Hall that can be used with your Bathing Mod. Feel free to set up the Mead Hall and/or its basement as "quarters" for your followers, …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
