Make Winterhold the city it should be
the great city of winterhold

Just a village? !
When you first enter Winterhold, you may think it is nothing more than a small village. As you tell the story, you'll discover that Winterhold was once an epic city, but has mostly been known as the Sea after the Great Collapse. If you compare the lore in the game to the city, that's not right.
A bit of a killer
Winterhold is an ancient place dating back to the first era. It was founded by the Archmage Shalidor, the same man who created the infamous Labyrinth One. Winterhold continues as a wealthy and prosperous city, rivaling Solitude in strength and power. It was even the capital of Skyrim during the reign of Bogota in the First Age. Still, it's been several days since Winterhold. The Winterhold we see today is but a shadow of its former glory. It all ended with the Great Collapse, where most of the city just collapsed and was swallowed up by the sea. The only reason the city still exists now is because of the Academy, although most Nords blame the Academy for its collapse.
Where are the ruins? !
How could a huge and important city, once the capital of Skyrim, rival Solitude in strength and power, and not just a few wooden buildings? Where are the massive walls that once protected the city? Where are the ruins?
With this mod I hope to restore some of Winterhold's glory. Give Winterhold the attention it deserves. The purpose of this mod is to add a sense of immersion to every visit to Winterhold and add some nooks and crannies to explore.

A bit of lore
Winterhold is an ancient place dating back to the first era. It was founded by Shalidor the Archmage, the same man who created the infamous Labyrinthian. Winterhold continued as a wealthy and prosperous city rivalling Solitude in Strength and power. It was even the capital of Skyrim during the reign of Borgas in the First Era. Winterhold has seen better days though. The Winterhold we see today is just a shadow of it's former glory. It all ended with the Great Collapse, most of the city just fell, being swallowed by the sea. Now the only reason the city still exists is because of the College although most Nords blame the College for the Great Collapse.

How is a massive and important city, once the capital of Skyrim, rivalling Solitude in strenght and power reduced to nothing more than a few wooden buildings? Where are the gigantic walls that once protected the city? Where are the ruins?
With this mod I hope to restore some of Winterhold's glory. To give Winterhold the attention it really deserves. The aim of this mod is to add immersion to every visit of Winterhold as well as adding a few nooks and crannies to explore.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
