Advard Fisk, a Windhelm native since birth, controls Warmstone Hostel in his capacity as owner and proprietor. Like many, he came from Skyrim and fought against the Aldmeri Dominion until winning a hard-earned victory at Cyrodill, surviving against all odds. He and many of the veterans returned home and tried to return to their old lives, but unlike most of his brethren, he did not harbor any prejudice in the city - instead, he tolerated the presence of non-Norles, considering them equal, having served with other races throughout the war.

Thanks to his life savings, which he had stashed away behind the farmhouse before his military service, he intended to carve a hotel in Wyndham's market front as a cheaper, but cleaner and more tolerant alternative to the Nordic Candlehearth Hall and the grimy New Gnisis Cornerclub. Soon, Advard had more customers than he could accommodate, so he expanded further to add more services for more visitors.

However, since the outbreak of the civil war, almost all residents of the province, deeply divided on many issues, have stood up. Advard walked away from the prejudice that roiled Windhelm without batting an eye, but it made him the target of Rolff Stone-Fist taunts against non-Norsemen. Ribboning slander on the hotel door, leaving a pile of excrement on the doorstep, throwing stones at the windows every night, giving him and his guests names. When the dragon attacks Helgen, Rolf bursts into the hotel and goes on a rampage, forcing Advocate to use his martial arts skills to deal with the troublemaker before physically throwing him out.

However, the Stormcloak General Galmar Stone-Fist did not ignore the incident and issued a threat to Advard, who was unwavering and responded in a civilized manner. But before the errant general can show up in person, an old friend convinces Advard to take a weekend fishing trip on the mudflats of the frigid northern coast.

The last time anyone saw Advard and his friends in Windheim was when they left the gate, were thrown into the carriage with their fishing gear and bags, and never came back.

Today, across the city, as Dragonborn approaches the hotel's closing, people stare at the message barrels taped to the walls...

Backstory

Seeing that the original Warmstone was sorely lacking in several places, I spent about three months experimenting trying to see which extensions worked best before starting to play with the stock objects until about two weeks ago when I started working on the massive mod.

compatibility

Not compatible with Skyrim Open Cities

Install

NMM/Vortex: Download and install the mod.

Mod Organizer 2: Download or open to install

Manually: Open the downloaded file using 7zip, then click and drag it into Skyrim's Data folder.

Uninstall

NMM/Vortex: Use NMM to uninstall modules.

MO2: Deactivate by unchecking the mod in the list.

Manual: Open Skyrim's data folder, locate Warmstone.esp and the accompanying .bsa and .bsl files, and delete them.

Upgrade (just in case)

Remove all stored items from containers, chests, and shelves and exit the house before making a new game save and exiting Skyrim. Before returning to the game, please use the installation process to upgrade the mod.
