About this mod Machine translation

A unique little starter-owned house just outside Whiterun, adding some non-renewable storage space, a bed, a cooking pot, and a place to sit and watch the plains.

"I really wish Skyrim had more castle and cabin type player household items!" - No one.

"Sleeping inside the chest of a dead mammoth would be a cool idea, but..." - Probably no one either.

I always feel like I don't have enough places to sleep and store my stuff and then save enough gold to buy Breezehome. There are many mods that solve this problem, but many of them just add too much for me; arcane magicians, alchemy tables, huge gardens, an overpowered collection of weapons and armor...all stuff that a beginner doesn't need. On the other hand, many starter homes are just bland cabins with nothing unique or exciting about them.

So I made this mod for myself and I hope other people like it too. It adds a small outdoor sportsman's home outside the Whiterun outside the stables. It contains some non-respawn player-owned storage containers, a player-owned bed sheet, a campfire with a cooking pot, a chair to sit and watch the sunset, or the sheer excitement of Whiterun Plains.

I tested this mod extensively, adding appropriate "Navcut hitboxes" so as not to disrupt vanilla navigation, ensuring NPCs don't wander aimlessly into walls, chairs and campfires, and ensuring compatibility with most other mods. It's 100% error-free and seamless.

Clean with SSEEdit.

Mod Manager - Just activate it. Without coverage, it won't be simpler.

Manual installation - Move the Data folder containing the .ESP file into "steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition" and activate it in "Data Files" using the launcher.

Safe to play in between and safe to uninstall if you don't like it!

"I really wish there were more castle and cabin-type player home mods for Skyrim!"- Nobody ever.

"Sleeping inside a dead mammoth's ribcage would be a cool idea, though..."- Probably also nobody ever.

I always felt there wasn't a decent enough place for me to sleep and store my stuff before saving enough gold to afford Breezehome. There are many mods that address this, but many of them just add too much for me; arcane enchanters, alchemy tables, massive gardens, overpowered weapons and armor collections... All things a beginner house just doesn't need. On the other hand, many of the beginner homes are just bland cabins with nothing unique or exciting about them.

So I made this mod for myself, and I hope other people enjoy it, too. It adds a small, outdoor player home just outside of Whiterun, just northwest of the stables. It features a few non-respawning player-owned storage containers, a player-owned bedroll, a campfire with cooking pot, and a chair to sit in and watch the sunset, or the sheer excitement of the plains of Whiterun.

I tested this mod extensively, added proper "Navcut collision boxes", so as not to disturb the vanilla navmesh, to ensure NPCs wouldn't just aimlessly walk into the walls, chair, and campfire, and to ensure compatibility with most other mods. It is 100% bug-free and seamless.

Cleaned with SSEEdit.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
