SKYRIM Special Edition
This mod reduces the weight of many items to zero. Sometimes, especially on your 3 millionth playthrough, you might feel like you can take some freedoms... or maybe you don't give a shit about the moral dilemmas of many traditionalists and just want to be able to drag half of Skyrim with you. Either way, this mod is for you!
Hello everyone! I'm new to the modding industry and can only learn a little at a time. I've been playing it for years, but after playing such a great mod made by a great community, I feel like it's time to give back to whatever degree I can. This is my first mod, hope it works for me and others too!
The main items affected are:
FOOD
Potion
ammunition
books
Ingredients
Miscellaneous (sundry and raw materials)
reel
soul gem
Keys (Hunterborn's keys have weight)
I play a specific set of mods that I'm used to, so have been making patches to extend this functionality to other mods. But... I haven't learned the steps of making .fomods yet, so I'll provide the patches as separate files anyway, I know I'm sorry... hey, but at least I did the whole esls (esp) thing!
So it's a give-and-take process. I've double checked and cleaned everything, but everything was fine until I found the error. Please let me know what I missed.
I found that when establishing a new load order for playback, the new module was inevitably found when I saw patches for the selected module. Since the mod appears to be made for a compatibility patch to work with the mod whose page I'm looking at, I'm sure it will work fine with my loadout. So I've added a plethora of patches to this page, which brings you to plugins I've grown to admire!
Require
The base mod of "Vanilla" requires all official DLC: Dawnguard, Heathfire, Dragonborn.
compatibility
Well, if the mod changes the weight, then yes, it may not be compatible without a patch.
For those who haven't considered it yet, patches can easily be added on top of patches. For example, you create YourPatch for Mod1. Users install their patches, which are compatibility patches for Mod1. In almost all cases, their patch will copy every single value in every field of Item1 from Mod1 to its record as an override (to overwrite Item1's record in Mod1). You, the author of YourPatch are patching Mod1, not their patch. This means that when users install YourPatch and YourPatch, their weight records may overwrite the weight values changed in YourPatch. Sort order alone doesn't always solve problems like this, and even if it did, how would LOOT know which patch you think is more important? Sorting sorts the order of all patches, not the records within the patches themselves.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
