Warm Hjerim

Completely friendly overhaul of Hjerim in Windhelm

2337/5000 IMPORTANT NOTE (At least read this article!)

Since Hjerim was used for the 'Blood on Ice' quest I didn't want to change the original house at all, so I added a way to activate my version of the house after purchase:

• Buy the house from the housekeeper as usual, with the decoration option "Clean up that killer's mess". Don't buy any other

Decoration.

• Enter the house - there will be a button on the wall by the front door.
• Press the button - it will disappear after activation.
• Leave and re-enter the house.

This is best used in games where you haven't decorated a house yet - if you have, the button should still show up and everything should work, but I haven't tested that yet.

• Crafting: Baking Pot, Oven, Alchemy Laboratory and Magician. There is no blacksmith crafting station, but I added a chest at the Windhelm blacksmith that is connected to the "Smithing Supplies" storage in the house so you don't have to carry all the materials back and forth.

• bathroom with bathtub for guests to take a bath

• Rooms at Housecarl are furnished with a bed

• Spare bedroom for 3 fans or 6 children. Use the button next to the bedroom door to switch between the two options. You will need Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions to move your children/spouse.

compatibility

I didn't touch anything outside the house other than adding a chest to the blacksmith, so it should be compatible with any Windhelm overhaul. At worst, there might be chest-forging cuts, but nothing that will break your game. Definitely compatible with Dawn of Skyrim since I use that mod. It should be compatible with Open Cities, but you won't have smith chests.

Load this model before opening the city and after any lighting overhaul you are using.
