Walk to Solstheim

This takes you through the crossing at the Refugee Rest Area and the gate east of Riften to get to Solstheim. Contains an optional map marker for the Hammerfell border crossing.

Introduction

As we all know, Skyrim has two paths that are alluded to leading to Morrowind. However, the game's borders prevent you from passing them, and even if they are disabled, the borders won't help. I think it would be nice to change that.

feature

This mod adds map markers to Dunmeth Pass (the path to the refugee rest area) and Silgrad Pass (the path to the border gate east of Riften). (The Downloads section provides optional map markers for the Hammerfell border gates that can be used with mods like Beyond Reach. Cyrodiil is not included to avoid compatibility issues with Beyond Skyrim: Bruma due to my inexperience :/) Also, as mentioned above, the mod adds loading gates at the ends of these paths so that you can pass through them and reach the docks at Raven Rock. No more cultists to hunt down or pay Gjalund Salt-Sage 250 gold!

Install

Simply drag and drop the ESP file into the Data folder, or install the ZIP using the Mod Manager of your choice. Mod Organizer 2 is recommended, but really it's just an ESP file so it doesn't really matter. Also - don't forget to add bBorderRegionsEnabled=0 in Skyrim.ini, otherwise you won't be able to reach the loading region.

compatibility

This mod should be compatible with almost anything except for editing mods for editing specific cells where map markers and loading gates are placed (such as unique boundary gates). Compatible with Raven Rock mods like the Simple Raven Rock extension.

(An optional map marker of the Hammerfell border gate, for use with mods like Beyond Reach, is available in the downloads section. One for Cyrodiil isn't included to avoid compatibility issues with Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, since I'm not experienced enough to resolve conflicts yet.:/) Also, as stated above, the mod adds load doors at the ends of these paths so that you can walk through them and end up at the docks in Raven Rock. No more getting hunted by cultists or paying Gjalund Salt-Sage 250 gold!

Installation

Simply drop the ESP file in your Data folder, or install the ZIP with your mod manager of choice. Mod Organizer 2 is recommended, but it's literally just an ESP file so it doesn't really matter. ALSO - DON'T FORGET TO ADD bBorderRegionsEnabled=0 in your Skyrim.ini, or else you won't be able to reach the load zones.

Compatibility

The mod should pretty much be compatible with anything, aside from mods that edit the specific cells where map markers and load doors have been placed such as Unique Border Gates. Compatible with Raven Rock mods like Simple Raven Rock Expansion.
