how.
First, unzip the file (7zip, Winrar, etc.) into a directory of your choice.
Then navigate to the SteamVR folder, which contains the controller's skins.
C:\ Program Files(x86)\ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ SteamVR \ resources \ rendermodels
(This may vary depending on your installation, but the above is common. Mine was D :)
Open the folder, oculus_cv1_controller_left
Find the file external_controller01_col.png
Rename the existing file to external_controller01_col.png.xxx (it is always recommended to back up the existing file if you wish to restore the original file)
Copy the downloaded uncompressed file to this folder.
Then:
Open the folder, oculus_cv1_controller_right
Find the file external_controller01_col.png
Rename the existing file to external_controller01_col.png.xxx (it is always recommended to back up the existing file if you wish to restore the original file)
Copy the downloaded uncompressed file to this folder.
The same download goes into each folder as it holds the data for both controllers.
When you first load up Skyrim VR they may look dark, this is because there is no main light source in the starting "null" scene, once you enter the "cave" you will see them clearly.
Thanks to: u/feanturi and carslawx/XmisterC for the screenshots, they helped a lot!

When you first Load up Skyrim VR, they may appear to be very dark, this is because in the start "void" scene there are no major light sources, once into the "cave" you'll see them clearly.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
