Sound of Skyrim-full version

Quoting the original documentation:

"Sounds of Skyrim is an audio project that was divided into three parts and ended up adding more than 460 sound effects to the game world. It affects almost every unit and area in the game. My main goal was that there is no one environment where the sound will enhance the immersion. The sound will be affected by the time of day, weather and location, so while walking down the city streets during the day you will hear the echo of doors opening and closing, children playing and workers seeing things. At night cats are fighting for territory and dogs are barking.

All three modules have been released and are available on the website where you can download the modules.

Dunegons

The dungeon provides more than 115 sound effects, which adds vitality to the dungeon. Enemies residing in dungeons will be heard. At the dungeon entrance you can also hear the weather outside. If there's a thunderstorm outside, you'll hear thunder rumbling in the fort or cave

This mod would never have been possible without the contributions of Freesound.org's many recorders and artists. There is a file in the archive with credits for each person who spoke. Big thanks to them, otherwise the sound wouldn't be as high quality as they are.

wilderness

Wilds specializes in adding sound effects to the wilds of Skyrim. With 115 new sound effects, The Wilds aims to aurally expand Skyrim's fauna, adding a variety of animals, birds, and insects that vary depending on the weather, time of day, and region of the game. For example, in the forest you will hear the sounds of foxes, deer and crows. At night you will hear wolves howling away from afar or common slow lorises calling to others. In The Reach, you may hear the occasional mountain goat or hawk.

In addition to animals, The Wilds adds rain sounds to tents and wooden structures, rustling sounds to simulate the movement of small mammals that scatter as you approach, and calm water ripple sounds knocking wood over logs or structures that are partially submerged in water.

There are more sound effects than described above. See the next subsection for a complete list.

civilization

Civilization focuses on adding 223 new sound effects for the cities, villages, farms, and remote areas where civilization exists. In the city you can hear villagers repairing things with hammers, children playing, dogs barking or cats fighting. As you approach the tavern door, the sounds of customers coming and going from behind the door play. When you go in, some patrons may laugh loudly, yell, or break something.

On or near the farm, you can hear the sounds of their animals (if any). Most of these sound effects can also be heard inside the building, connecting the interior units to the exterior. If we take a farm as an example, sitting close to a window you might hear the sound of hens. If it's raining, you'll hear the rain hitting the windows. If there's a snowstorm, you'll hear the cold wind blowing outside your window.

This mod combines all SoS modules into one easy-to-use package and provides MCM support for those using SkyUI-SE. For those who don't, initial configuration is now possible by reading a book for each module that you can read to get set up. Some minor bug …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
