About this mod Machine translation
Added a blacksmith forge, workbench, grinding wheel, tanning rack, and a smelter to Vlindrel Hall (the player's home in Markarth).
There are a lot of mods out there that modify Vlindrel Hall, but I've found that they all either drastically upgrade the place into a palace, or they add a bunch of new non-interactive static variables (with a non-interactive table to book on for example, or armor in the chest that can't actually be picked up). My only problem with Vlindrel Hall is that I want to be able to do some smithing... so I made a mod for that.
This mod replaces the fireplace in the main area of Vlindrel Hall with a forge forge and increases the size of the lower area where all other forge-related gear is placed. See screenshots for an idea of how it looks. This is the first time the model I've actually put things in the world, so there may be some bad seams or clippings; that being said, I did try to look around and everything seems fine.
Forges and other gear are available from the start without having to purchase any upgrades. If I wanted to, I might one day investigate if there were other conversations
An option could be added to Raerek to allow the purchase of forged gear, but I think this would be difficult since other mods (such as the popular Breezehome FullyUpgradable) cannot do this. (It seems simple to disable the gear from the parent object, but I feel like you might not be able to copy the existing part of the house upgrade purchase quest and modify it a bit to enable Vlindrel Hall Forged Gear for example, I think this might be one of those things where if one mod modifies it, it overwrites all the other mods, so you need to script or do other tasks somehow - it becomes unnecessarily complicated with adding items to merchants. I haven't actually bothered to look into everything because it seems difficult, and I doubt anyone will care; I don't really care)
I also removed all the items that were in Vlindrel's lobby that were once in Forge or something. I also moved the floor and stairs to accommodate the extra gear, which also meant moving the main dining table. Since there is some clutter in the area (as well as the static table and chairs I've gotten rid of), if you already own Vlindrel Hall, you'll have a platter of plates and cutlery on the floor (presumably as well as trimming some forge stuff). This won't happen if you've never been in the cell recently (e.g. making a new save or if you haven't purchased Vlindrel Hall yet, you'll be fine), and the clutter should reset to the correct location when the cell is cluttered with a reset or whatever. It will eventually fix itself.
The smelter was scaled down to 75% of the proper smelter size, mainly because the charcoal pile was far away from the actual smelter, meaning it was cut into the tanning rack on the other side of the area at full size. This means that the animation doesn't line up perfectly as it is playing the animation to fit the appropriate smelter. However, it has no effect on gameplay.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
