VIS Patch – Vanilla Ingredients
VIS patch changes ingredients back to vanilla name.
About this mod Machine translation
VIS patch changes ingredients back to vanilla name.
I'm a big fan of Valdacil's Item Sorting mod, I've used it in both Skyrim and Fallout 4. However, I found it difficult to find the ingredients due to the name changes, this mod solves that problem.
All this mod does is change the names of the ingredients back to their original names (e.g. "Egg:Chicken" back to "ChickenEgg") while retaining Valdacil's [Ingredient] tag.
Require:
- Skyrim Special Edition
- Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch
- Valdacil’s project classification
Installation/disassembly:
Use NMM, MO, another installer, or do it manually (there are lots of video tutorials on YouTube on how to do this). As with any patch, place this mod after all the requirements listed above.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
