I love the Dawnguard DLC. The Dawnguard headquarters reminded me of TES III: Morrowind's castle, and we could see the Forgotten Vale, which was once the oldest and most scenic place ever. I combined Dawnguard Castle and Ancient Falmer buildings to create a unique and fitting castle for your dragon and his companions. If you like it or you think something is still missing, please let us know!

As always, I recommend using Vortex. Download the mod and just click install. Manual installation: Place the .esp file and .bsa in the /Data folder.

Entering the Forgotten Valley and climbing up to the frozen lake, you'll immediately notice the castle. Battle Frost Giants to gain entry. The quest begins when you first enter the castle. If you want to see the castle but haven't passed the Dawnguard questline yet, use 'coc VjarkellCastleInterior'. But if I were you I wouldn't leave the castle, I think this is a spoiler.

For teleportation spells: Check the Private Area column. Also note that the unlockable merchant sells a book that teaches you how to teleport to the warehouse!

For the hidden areas: (1) Complete the quest, (2) Examine the statue of Mara in the Pantheon, (3) Look under the firewood in the living room.

troubleshooting:

While reading Vjarkell's journal page, the task is not progressing! ->Put it on the floor and read, that should solve the problem.

The merchant won't give me money! -> Do you have any vendor gold increasing mods activated? Because Aldiaris' gold base is already very high, and too much gold makes the game insignificant.

The merchant is shown no dialogue to hire the castle's staff. -> Check out the jobs posted at the top of this page.
