About this mod Machine translation

Play as a powerful vampire who gains strength and unique abilities by not feeding, but in exchange gains the weaknesses of silver and fire. Or, play as a Van Helsing-style vampire hunter who loads up his silver bolts and goes off in search of the creatures that stumble through the night.

Have you ever thought that Skyrim's vampires are kind of weak, boring, and... well, mortal? Have you ever thought that a vampire could convey powerful supernatural abilities, have an actual drive to feed, and not just be hungry for blood without anyone noticing? Plus, have you ever wanted to become a brave vampire hunter and sneak into evil's lair using only your trusty silver blade? Then this is the mod for you.

For both players and Skyrim's NPCs, Vicious Vampires attempts to make vampires powerful and terrifying without breaking the game. It will also give you the tools you need to level the playing field against the creatures of the night.

feature

Powerful Vampires: Vampires are supernatural beings with appropriate abilities.

All have ongoing, significant health regeneration as well as increased stamina and magic regeneration.

Each hunger level increases health, stamina, and frost resistance.

Hungry’s unique unlockable abilities continue:

Bloodstalker: A creature that can see blood flowing from its veins through walls. Costs 85 magicka and lasts 60s.

Supernatural Reflexes: Ability to move and react quickly for 15 seconds. Grants a slow time effect in exchange for an ongoing stamina drain.

Servant of the Vampire: Increased level cap, making it useful throughout the game. When fully polished, NPCs of any level can be resurrected.

Vampire's Temptation: Can attract vulnerable people and make you eat.

Retains vanilla Skyrim's immunity to disease and poison, as well as immunity to drowning and unarmed damage bonus.

Resists fall damage and is completely immune to blood starvation.

Big Weakness: Nothing is invincible.

Sun Damage: Vampires slowly burn to death in the sun. Disabled only during recent feedings and gradually increased over time.

Fire: A vampire's dry flesh burns easily, and a weakness to fire increases the amount of time they can go without feeding.

Silver Weapon: Deals additional damage to undead and vampires, causing minor magic and stamina damage, and stopping healing. Any vampire who accidentally handles silver weapons or jewelry will find their flesh burning on contact.

All Hate: When blood-hungry, your eyes glow a predatory yellow and everyone can see how you look. Non-guild NPCs work against you, forcing you to avoid towns or feed the mix.

Ashes to Ashes: When killed, vampires disintegrate into ash.

Silver Arsenal: An unprepared hunter is a dead hunter.

In addition to vanilla swords and greatswords, silver hammers, warhammers, daggers, bolts, and arrows have been added.

All of these can be found on enemies and shopkeepers around Skyrim.

Can be crafted at the Forge using the Steel Forge technique, and is fully upgradeable.

At higher levels, rare celestial silver weapons can be found that deal grievous damage to undead and vampires.

Celestial Silver can be crafted using the Glass or Ebony smithing perks, and has equal damage to Ebony. Requires rare metal ore, which can be found at the top of the mountain or at a nearby shrine.

Organizations like the Silver Hand and Stendarr Vigilants will take full advantage of silver weapons. Dawnguard uses silver bolts, Dawnguard shafts that stop a vampire's healing on contact.

Install

NMM installation: Just use the install button on NMM

Manual installation: Unzip the download file and place the .esp and .bsa files in the skyrim data folder. Then, select Mods -> Load Order from Skyrim's main menu and make sure ViciousVampires is turned on

Vicious works best with fresh characters, but you can use existing characters. Make sure you're not a vampire and you're not holding any silver weapons, then make sure you're in a cell with no vampires. Then just activate Vicious Vampires.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
