About this mod Machine translation
Added 7 different colors for wolves and dogs.
What does this MOD do?
This is an ESP file and script using the meshes/textures you can download from True Wolves Of Skyrim in order to add 7 different colors to the game.
Now, most dogs will use the same model as wolves. This mod does not change the Huskies.
How does this modification work?
This does not add new enemies or touch level lists.
Instead, whenever the dog/wolf spawns for the first time, the script assigns it a body skin based on several criteria.
The first thing it looks at is the name of the animal.
For example, a wolf named "Snow Wolf" will always be white, while a wolf named "Brown Wolf" will always be brown.
This helps make the mod compatible with as many other creature mods as possible without having to create special patches for them.
If the name is ambiguous ("Wolf"), it is randomly assigned a color.
Different locations have different chances of spawning different wolves.
For example, white wolves are more common near Winterhold, while red wolves are more common near Rift Valley.
With installation direction requirements
Follow the instructions below exactly to download the following mods.
It's ok if you don't have animallica installed. . . This option is simply the most convenient folder structure for creating this mod.
You don't need to download most other patches (e.g. skip the SkyTEST and SIC patches) as my script automatically patches all mob mods that use the default "Dog and Wolf" races.
This is an Oldrim mod. The SSE conversion option on his download page doesn't fix anything.
If you want to convert, use the Cathedral Assets Optimizer instead.
Even if you don't convert, it will still work.
Uncompressed normal maps are just an option for people who want their wolves to look better.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
