describe
Dynamic Animal Variants SPID randomly assigns unique texture variants to several creatures and animals via the Spell Perk Item Distributor.
This is an updated and built version of Dynamic Animal Variants, with several bug fixes and other improvements.
No original records have been edited. For compatibility, creatures can be commented out in DynamicAnimalVariantsPlus_DISTR.ini.
Includes a repackaged version of the Bellyache animal and creature pack makeover, as well as my own additions.
This version includes additional diffuse, normal, and specular maps, all based on the original Bellyache texture.
When necessary, relevant USSEP fixes have been forwarded to the new variant for consistency. No patch required.
Currently includes:
Bear, Chaurus, Rooster, Cow, Deer, Dog,
Elk, fox, frostbite spider, goat, hawk,
Mammoths, Mud Crabs, Saber Cats, Skeevers, Wolves
Install
To get the expected experience, installation instructions are as follows.
■ Highly Recommended - Download and install Belyaches Animal and Creature Pack Revamp.
■ Select a default replacer - This will ensure the most consistent experience when playing the game.
■ Natural, dynamic animal variants SPID does not cover all animals.
■ You will still need to download other replacement programs as you see fit.
■ Install Dynamic Animal Variants SPID and let it override everything. If you haven't yet,

compatibility
Mods that do not fundamentally change the appearance of the original mesh may work "out of the box".
If they don't, a patch will need to be provided. In the worst case, the new texture may not be applied.
If you encounter problems, please check DynamicAnimalVariantsPlus_DISTR.ini.
You can do this by placing a at the beginning of the line;. This will "disable" distribution of the creature.
For example, if you have True Wolves installed, comment out ;Wolf.
Because this mod does not make any direct changes to NPC_ or RACE records, mods such as SkyTEST are compatible.
DogCompanions are commented out by default, so mods such as Unique Barbas, Meeko Reborn and Vigilance Reborn will work "out of the box".
Some mods that extend creature variants may be incompatible - at the time of writing, I didn't notice any mods in my load order.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
