About this mod Machine translation

This mod patches several bugs and exploits in the Sleeveless Dragon Priest Mask.

describe:

Hoodless Dragon Priest Masks is a popular mod that removes the ugly ghetto-ass burlap hoods from Dragon priest masks, making them less like something a serial killer would wear and more of an accessory for a hero.

A recent post on the HDPM mod page said that the author was overwhelmed by life events, so I took it upon myself to release an unofficial patch for this great mod.

Missing header error has been corrected.

The Immersive Armor's heavily armored fur hood and mantle have been patched.

Functionality extends to Miraak's three dragon masks, but not Miraak's mask. I'm obsessed with Miraak's mask being the part of the outfit that deserves to be left alone. If interested in a uncapped Miraak version, please let me know and I'll post one. This patch provides improved Dragon Priest mask support for Dragonborn masks. It doesn't require IDPM as a master since it's simple to copy some digital and original effects. No custom IDPM assets are used.

compatibility:

Requires Headless Dragon Priest Mask and Immersive Armor.

Loads after all objects that come into contact with those objects' armor or armor attachments are recorded, as well as after any impacting patches.

Errors/Problems:

If the mask disappears while mounted with a properly patched hood, give it and the hood in question to a follower (with a well-equipped inventory) and retrieve it. The error only seems to pop up when the game files have masks marked "costume". It's present in the original HDPM but I don't know why it pops up or the fix works. If you do, please leave a comment so it can be finally resolved.

DESCRIPTION:

Hoodless Dragon Priest Masks is a popular mod which removes the ugly ghetto ass burlap hoods from dragon priest masks, making them less of a thing a serial killer would wear and more of a hero's accessory.

The latest post on the HDPM mod page says the author was indisposed due to life events so I took it upon myself to issue an unofficial patch to this great mod.

The missing head bug has been CORRECTED.

Heavy armor fur hoods and mantles from Immersive Armors have been patched in.

Functionality was extended to the three Dragonborn masks of Miraak's underbosses, but NOT Miraak's mask.  I fugger Miraak's mask is part of an outfit and deserves to be left alone.  If there is any interest in a hoodless Miraak version, let me know and I will post one.  This patch carries forward the Improved Dragon Priest Masks support for the Dragonborn masks.  It does NOT require IDPM as a master as it was a simple matter of copying some numbers and vanilla effects.  No custom IDPM assets were used.

COMPATIBILITY:

Requires Hoodless Dragon Priest Masks and Immersive Armors.

Load after anything which touches the armor or armor addon records for these objects and after any bashed patches.

BUGS/ISSUES:

If a mask disappears when equipped alongside a properly patched hood, give it and the hood in question to a follower (to their equippable inventory) and then take them back.  This bug only seems to pop up with masks tagged 'clothing' in the game files.  It was present in the original HDPM and I don't know why it pops up or why the fix works.  If you do, please leave a comment so I can finally stomp it out.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
