This mod fixes an issue with the unofficial Skyrim Special Edition patch regarding Meat and Apple Pie.
What is this MOD?
The Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (USEEP) adds mince pies to Skyrim to address an issue with apple pies being called mince pies. A nice bug fix though, the meat pie uses the same mesh though not the same texture as the apple pie. This can create issues with the apple pie grid and texture changing, causing the mince pie texture to work. This little mod solves the above problem by providing a separate grid for the meat pies.
Okay...but I've never had a problem with pie before.
If you use a mod that changes the apple pie grid, this mod will just do nothing. My suggestion is to use the Apple Pie mesh and textures from Ultra HD Apple Pies. Since this is an old edge mode, the textures work out of the gate, but the meshes do need to be converted. Unfortunately, converting with the nif optimizer incorrectly removes vertex colors, thereby destroying the mesh, so I will include a manual conversion of the 4k version of the mesh in the optional file. The converted mesh will only work with the 4k version, if you want to use another version you will have to rename the textures used in the mesh in nifskope. You still need the original textures for Ultra HD Apple Pies. All credit for the grid goes to aviform.
Any other mod suggestions?
I also recommend using the apple pie texture and mesh, using this mod with the meat pie texture mod. My personal choice is Boiled Creme Treat Sweet Roll and Pies. Also a quick shout out to the fantastic Lexy's: Legacy of the Dragonborn Guide. I originally posted this file a few months ago, along with a few other files from Guide Discord. I can't overstate my gratitude for this project and the work they put in there!
I don't want such a small mod to take up a precious .esp slot.
Due to the mod's small size, it can be easily merged using something like mator's fantastic merge plugin or the soon-to-be-released zmerge!

The Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (USEEP) adds meat pies to Skyrim to fix an issue where apple pie is referred to as meat pie. While a fine bug fix, the meat pie uses the same mesh though not the same texture as apple pie. This can create issues where the apple pie mesh and texture are changed causing the meat-pie texture to act up. This small mod fixes the above issue giving meat pie its own separate mesh.
Ok... but I've never had an issue with pies before.
This mod only does anything if you are using a mod that alters the apple pie mesh. My suggestion is to use the apple pie mesh and textures from Ultra HD Apple Pies. As this is an old-rim mod the textures work out of the gate but the meshes do need converting. Sadly, converting using nif optimizer incorrectly removes vertex colors, breaking the mesh, so I will include a manual conversion of the mesh for the 4k version in optional files. The converted mesh will only work for the 4k version, if you want to use a different version you will have to rename the textures used in the mesh in nifskope. You will still need the original texture from Ultra HD Apple Pies. All credit for the meshes go to aviform.

I also suggest along with the apple pie textures and meshes, to use this mod with a meat pie texture mod. My personal choice for this is Boiled Creme Treat Sweet Roll and Pies. Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
