About this mod Machine translation
QUSTR makes it (relatively) easy to install your favorite skin textures to a large number of popular NPC replacement mods.
So you've just discovered a women's skin texture alternative that makes you go wow. (I'll say it right now, for me it's Bijin Skin, and that's the example I'll be using in the installation instructions for this mod.) You install it... and they look great! - but you'll barely see any skins except for yourself (if you're female), and maybe some female NPCs are so insignificant that you won't even bother downloading a mod to replace them.
This is because many popular NPC replacement mods use custom skin textures. Installing popular skin texture mods such as Fair Complexion, Leyenda, SG Textures or Bijin Skins will not install them into the folder in NPC Replacer mods, so you will not see them replaced by these mods on any NPCs.
Now, anyone who has installed the TMBE Enhanced Body mod knows that I set up the FOMOD installer to apply body files to a large number of popular replacement mods. This mod uses the same technique as the same mod, but for skin textures. However, there is a problem. Unlike that mod, where I (or Robton, instead) provide the body files, I do not provide the skin textures. You must do this. This means some assembly is required.
Without this mod, if you want a skin texture downloaded elsewhere to work with Bijin Wives, you must copy the files from your favorite skin texture to the correct subfolder under your Bijin Wives mod folder (you must find them first). Then you have to do it again for Bijin Warmaidens, find the correct subfolders in that mod and put them there. Then there is the Bijin NPC. Then there's Serana. And then there are regular women. This can take a long time, can be prone to human error, and is very tedious. This mod allows you to go through the process of assembling the textures you want in one go, and then you can install them into every supported NPC replacer mod with a single click.
This mod contains no assets other than the very convenient FOMOD installer. You have to find the skin texture you like best. You have to unzip this mod, put your favorite skin texture files into the empty "000 SkinTextures" folder you will find there, you will have to rezip that folder, and then install it. You just need to read the short version of the installation instructions. The installer will then place your selected skin textures into the appropriate folders within each supported mod.
What skin texture mods are supported? Because you're providing texture files... all of them.
What NPC Replacer mods are supported? For this initial version, it's the same as in TMBE Enhanced Body Replacer, except I've also added support for Chaconne Vilja SSE.

anyway. If my above list of what you have to do isn't clear enough, here are more detailed installation instructions.
- Download "QUSTR - Universal Skin Texture Replacement" - this mod - manually. I have disabled the "Download with Mod Manager" option as it serves no purpose.
- Unzip the QUSTR folder with 7-zip. Inside you will find an empty folder named "000 SkinTextures". You need to fill out this folder. We will be back soon.
- Download your favorite skin texture mod. For me, it's Bijin Skin.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
