Unique bow series

------------------------------------------

Adapted into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition game

Created for Original Skyrim by Artisanix 2013/02/28

Converted to Skyrim Special Edition by Artisanix 2018/11/28

describe:

------------------------------------------

This mod adds 10 new unique bows to the game (new meshes + new textures). All bows are artifacts, placed in various locations throughout Skirim. It is supposed to be very friendly, as everyone has a history, briefly mentioned in the diary of Trebonius Catanius, which is the source of all the information needed to track these valuables.

All bows have statistics between the glass and point-and-shoot bows known from the original game. And has a unique charm. They can be tempered, and copies of them produced in an undesirable form.

Install:

------------------------------------------

  • Copy the UniqueBows.esp, UniqueBows.bsa, UniqueBows - Textures.bsa files to the "Skyrim Special Edition\Data" folder

(The default path to Steam's home folder is usually: Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data).

  • Launch the game, go to the MODS menu/Load Order section and enable the UniqueBows.esp file. Then load any of your saves and play the game.

Play:

------------------------------------------

In Solitude (*) go to the basement of the Blue Palace and look for Trebonius Catanius' chest there. In his diary he mentioned the location and name of the bow. None of these are going to be that easy to find though, even if they are housed inside certain gorgeous chests. Some of these chests may be immediately visible if you arrive at your destination, while others may be hidden in the shadows or "hidden behind obvious spots." But none are placed in any crazy places that wouldn't normally be found - each chest is at the end of a specific location mentioned in Trebonius' diary (**).

(*) The "basement" of the Blue Palace mentioned is not a single cell, it's just a room with many servants/guards' beds in the main area of the palace (go there in the small hallway on the left from the main staircase that leads to the throne room, then take the stairs to the basement section).

(**) The "end of a specific location" expression should be interpreted as being specific to the area where the main boss of that location usually resides.

Cheating...I mean, testing in the name of science, of course:

------------------------------------------

If you're not the adventurer type and want to get all the bows and arrows quickly:

1)

Type the following command into the game console:

Help "chest arch"

The game should display the chest's ID (an 8-digit hex number)

2)

Then enter the console:

player.placeatme XXXXXXXX

where XXXXXXXX is the hexadecimal ID taken from the output of the previous command

After this, the chest should be placed at the feet of your character, open it and browse its valuable contents to your heart's content.

3)

If you want to get rid of the chest, just open the console, click on the chest so its ID should show up in brackets at the top center of the console, then type: disable and hit enter, then the chest should disappear.

delete:

------------------------------------------

There is no such thing as deleting this mod, but if you have to delete the same files that were previously copied during installation.

Known issues/compatibility:

------------------------------------------

This mod only adds new stuff. It does not overwrite or change anything in the original game, so incompatibility with other mods is kept to a minimum.

Bow properties:

------------------------------------------

Due to the short quotes added to the bow's description, as well as the complexity of enchantments, there are no specific details on the damage present in …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
