About this mod Machine translation

Added NightEye, Detect (Living, Undead, Dwarf, Daedra) and Clairvoyance rings for players

This is the SSE version of johneh87's Mod of Ultravision Mod (with his permission)

johneh87's original mod can be found here:

This mod adds rings that can be crafted on Skyforge to grant players various visual abilities:

Super Vision Ring: NightEye+ detects life, undead, dwarves and daedra

Ring of Aura: Same as above, but without NightEye

Clairvoyance ring: continuous clairvoyance (displays the path of the current task object)

Death Aura Ring: Shows only killed NPCs

There is also an "Uber" version of each ring that provides greater distance.

Using these rings, you can hotkey items and turn them on and off at will without taking the item out of your hands. Ultra Vision and Aura Vision rings not only display health, but also display friendly status as blue and hostile status as red. This is a great benefit when there's a big melee and you're not sure who to attack. However, some friendly ones will remain blue until you get close and turn red and attack you. Aura of the Undead allows you to find corpses that need to be looted, or even corpses that were killed by NPCs and left to rot.

How to get a ring

I've always used the console to add ringtones because it adds a really fun gameplay mechanic from the get-go. They can also only be crafted under Jewelry in Skyforge. The arcane blacksmith in need of inspiration. They also require a filled Grand Soul Gem, and Ultra Vision also requires a filled Grand Soul Gem. The Uber version requires additional materials. If people are interested, I can create a version with lower production requirements.

This is a SSE version of the mod Ring of Ultravision by johneh87 (with his permission)

The original mod by johneh87 can be found here:

This mod adds rings that can be crafted at the Skyforge to give the player various vision abilities:

Ring of Ultra Vision:  NightEye + Detect Life, Undead, Dwarven, and Daedra

Ring of Aura Vision: same as above but without NightEye

Ring of Clairvoyance: Constant Clairvoyance (shows path to current quest object)

Ring of Aura of the Dead: shows ONLY killed NPCs

There is also an "Uber" version of each ring which provide for greater distance.

Using these rings allows you to hotkey the item and turn them on and off at will without having to swap an item out of your hands.  The Ultra Vision and Aura Vision rings not only reveal life but also shows friendlies as blue and hostiles as red.  This is a big benefit when there's a huge melee and you're not sure who to attack.  However, some friendlies will appear as blue until you get close and then turn red and attack you.  The Aura of the Dead Ring allows you to find those dead bodies you need to loot or even dead bodies killed by NPCs and left rotting.

How to Acquire the Rings

I always used the console to add the rings since it adds such a fun game play mechanic to have from the start.  They can also be crafted only at the Skyforge under Jewelry.  The perk Arcane Blacksmith is required.  They also require a filled grand soul gem while the Ultra Vision also requires a filled black soul gem. The Uber versions require additional materials.  If people are interested I could create a version with much lower crafting requirements.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
